Our candles are handmade, poured in small batches from our home candle studio in Lancashire UK.

We use 100% toxin free soy wax, blended with premium phthalate free fragrance oils, so you can enjoy a high quality candle without worrying about hidden nasties. Soy wax candles are a more sustainable and pet friendly choice compared to traditional paraffin candles.

My candle making journey began after finding it difficult to source phthalate free candles in the UK, I have a BRCA2 gene mutation ( High risk of breast cancer) so creating cleaner candles without hidden nasties is at the core of the business.

Phthalates are found in the majority of fragranced products including candles, exposure has been linked to breast cancer, our fragrances have been carefully chosen ensuring they are phthalate free whilst not compromising on quality or scent throw.

We use the purest oils, blended and bottled in the UK. Our wax is GMO-Free and all of our packaging is fully recyclable.

Giving Back

A percentage of every candle sold will be donated to the prevent breast cancer charity based in Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester UK.

How long is shipping?

All orders are shipped within 48 hours.

Are soy candles pet friendly?

Not all soy candles are pet friendly as it is dependent on the type and quality of the fragrance oil added.

Cosyplace candles are made with pet conscious ingredients, they are paraffin free, phthalate free and lead free, meaning they are a gentler alternative to traditional scented candles.

We have a specific pet friendlier collection that goes one step further to avoid essential oils such as lavender and eucalyptus that some pets can react to.

Due to their fragile respiratory systems it is not recommended to burn any kind of fragrance around birds or reptiles.

We always recommend speaking with your veterinarian if you have any concerns, whilst we take every measure to ensure your pets safety we are not able to guarantee that your pet will not react to any of our products.

Why are your candles more expensive than your standard supermarket candle?

We use 100% GMO free natural soy wax and phthalate free high quality fragrance oils. Every candle is handmade and checked for any imperfections before shipping.

Supermarket candles tend to use cheaper paraffin wax and low quality fragrance oils that can cause allergies and headaches. Paraffin burns a lot faster than soy so your candle will not last as long as a 100% soy candle.

How long can I burn my candle?

We recommend not burning your candle for longer than 4 hours each time, glass vessels can get very hot whilst burning so extended burning is not recommended.

We have test burned hundreds of candles in our vessels for extended amounts of time, whilst no damage has occurred it is always best to check the temperature of the vessel after 4 hours and safely distinguish the flame if you feel it is getting too hot.

Is soy wax better than paraffin in candles?

Burns 50% longer than paraffin wax

Always check labels of candles as some brands advertise as soy blend, this usually means it is 50% soy and 50% paraffin so you wouldn't get the full benefit of a pure soy candle.
